The Civil Society Pavilion open with three days of workshops, artistic performances, children's activities and events based on a real commitments for a more sustainable future. On the opening day of Expo 2015, Cascina Triulza offer a calendar full of events, a preview of what will happen in the next six months in the Civil Society Pavilion, which takes part for the first time in a universal exhibition.
On May 1st, the day starts off with the colorful Festival of art and multiculturalism "World Arts making our future", by Fondazione Triulza, Forum Città Mondo, Associazione Città Mondo, in collaboration with M-WAM (Milano World Arts Map) international artists. A festival of peoples for a multicultural and creative world. A great event in which art, color, internationality, will represent the themes and values of Expo Milano 2015 and the Civil Society. A creative workshop organized around five tables, a musical parade and a great finale with songs and dances from around the world and a spectacular flash mob.

On May 2nd the President Emeritus of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano will welcome the Civil Society and all the organizations that will be part of Cascina Triulza.
In the morning will be presented the Manifesto Terra Viva, a document drawn up by a panel of experts led by Indian ecologist activist Vandana Shiva who will attend the event; an appointment sponsored by Banca Etica, Fondazione Triulza and Navdanya International. The Manifesto - which will be part of the legacy of the Civil Society Pavilion - is a document of analysis and complaint, but primarily a proposal on how to overcome the paradigm of the linear economy in favor of a new management of the environment, agriculture and, above all, in favor of the economic and social future choices.

In the afternoon, the restaurant "In Cascina con Salumi Villani" will host the award ceremony of #100 DifferentCopies, International Call for the design of the seat of the Civil Society Pavilion, with the winning designers, artisans involved in the production and the jury of the Call: this will be an opportunity to emphasize the social and friendly, as well as the innovative aspects of the handicraft. The event is organized in collaboration with Slow/d e CNA Emilia Romagna.

And also, there will be a space for children’s fun with Giro giro mondo, a game dedicated to travel and multiculturalism realized by Creativamente. The day will be closed by the performance of Habitat Verticali, the spectacular show of music and vertical dance of the cultural association Il Posto.

On Sunday, May 3rd, there will be the official opening of the Civil Society Pavilion, with the participation of the founders of Fondazione Triulza and the participants. Then will be launched the working path for the after - Expo. Speakers: Sergio Silvotti, President of Triulza Foundation, Sergio Urbani, General Secretary of the Cariplo Foundation, Maurizio Gardini, President of Confcooperative.
Two big shows will animate the afternoon: Sole della Fiumana - Volpedo describes the Quarto Stato and Habitat Vertical replays the performance. The first show is a living narration of the preparation of the famous painting “Quarto Stato” by Giuseppe Pellizza. Ideation and direction by Alfonso Cipolla, John Moretti, Luca Valentino with Giovanni Moretti, Beppe Rizzo, Nicola Stante, Elisabetta Zurigo and the citizens of Volpedo. The second show is the replica of the spectacular show of music and vertical dance of the cultural association Il Posto.

Le 63 realtà che aderiscono a Fondazione Triulza sono attive negli ambiti dell’associazionismo, della cooperazione internazionale, della promozione sociale, culturale, ambientale e sportiva, della formazione e del volontariato, dell’economia sociale e della finanza etica, del turismo responsabile e della tutela dei diritti.
