Promoted by Fondazione Triulza in partnership with the association Arte in Cascina, the call received 25 international entries. The goal of the initiative was to raise the public's awareness on themes concerning environmental sustainability through the artistic production of works made from elements of nature, whose purpose is also to preserve and enhance the territories.
Of the 5 award winning installations, one is exposed in the Civil Society Pavilion and the others in four parks close to the Expo site: Bosco WWF of Vanzago (province of Milan); Bosco in città - Italia Nostra in Milan; Parco del Ticino e Lago Maggiore; Parco di Monza School of Agriculture.
The winning installation of "Premio Cascina Triulza" is titled "Leaf - The breath of the Earth" and is designed by the young artist from Valtellina Elena Milani.

The Association Arte in Cascina participated at Expo 2015 with the support of AzzeroCO2, an Energy Service Company that provides advice to companies and public authority to improve their energy efficiency.
The artists selected from the Call have the opportunity, at the conclusion of Expo 2015, to exhibit, at the Art Gallery "Carte scoperte" in Milan, the preparatory drawings of the projects of land art that were realized.
A lung-leaf, made from a birch tree, as a symbol of respect for nature.
This is the art work "Leaf - The breath of the Earth" by the young artist from Valtellina Elena Milani, who graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan.
The installation, which is exhibited throughout the duration of Expo 2015, was inaugurated in the courtyard of Cascina Triulza on June 25th, 2015 on the Day of the Land Art.
A cube that recalls the idea of protection of the primitive buildings and the words Earth-Life-Food-Art hanging by a thread to mark the movement of seeds that are transported on the grounds where they will sprout.
The installation, which was inaugurated on June 12th, 2015, is on display at Parco di Monza School of Agriculture into Cascina Frutteto.
A "House" installed on the road which ideally connects to the Civil Society Pavilion. The installation was designed by the artistic duo Opla + (Giorgio Chiarello e Marco Pasian) who realized the art work at Parco del Ticino e Lago Maggiore into Villa Picchetta a Cameri (province of Novara).
The art work was inaugurated on June 13th, 2015 and has been placed just outside the first circle of the walls of the historic complex of the Villa and its main axis is oriented along the line that ideally connects with Cascina Triulza, about 30 km away.
A large pod, made of poplar, which flows into the lawn its seeds: a natural element, emptying, gives seeds that become fruits.
