A network of companies created specifically to participate in Expo 2015 Milan and promote the internationalization of Sicilian products. This is the challenge of Inside Sicily, founded in 2015 by the idea of the 33-years old businessman Stefano Massimino (photo) from Catania.
Inside Sicily is present in the market of Cascina Triulza with the products of 12 companies located in Sicily: Agromonte, Alicos, Bacco Srl, Caffè Morettino, Cantine Russo, Caseificio Passalacqua, Distilleria Fichera, Dolceria Rizza, I Peccatucci di Mamma Andrea, Oleificio Milano Srl, Pastificio Gallo, Terre di Miele.
"The companies come from all over Sicily - says Massimino - and each maintain their own brand. With the brand Inside Sicily they have the opportunity to help each other in the promotion of their products abroad. Each one gives a contribution to grow the network to which in the future also other companies will join".
The products of the companies of Inside Sicily are varied: cheese, coffee, wine, preserves, honey, liqueurs, jams, sweet creams, pesto, pistachio of Bronte, chocolate of Modica, cannoli, granite, cherry tomatoes, olive oil, pasta.
"They are all different companies, with quality products but not competitive - said Massimino -: we put on the network so that they can better promote their products abroad, with lower costs. We have already planned some exhibitions: in November we will go in Britain and then in 2016 in Brazil, Norway and Miami".
