Over 5000 rentals, from the beginning of Expo until August 15th, at the Mobility Center and more than 600 requests every month at the Info disability of the Lombardy Region. These are the numbers of services for accessibility in Cascina Triulza.
Since the design of the Pavilion, Fondazione Triulza paid special attention to the accessibility of the structure, thanks to a working group composed of professional consultants ANS (National Association Subvedenti), ENS (Ente Nazionale Sordi), LEDHA (League for the Rights of People with Disabilities) and UICI (Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired), coordinated by Consorzio Sociale Light on the basis of a project funded by the Province of Milan and the City of Milan.
Fondazione Triulza has therefore involved from the beginning associations of persons with disabilities and in the first month further improvements have been realized thanks to the contribution of the City of Milan. This collaboration has led to the creation of spaces of Cascina Triulza with numerous adaptations for people in need.
And today Cascina Triulza further enhances their space, in particular the Market Area, with a signposting made to facilitate the participation of disabled people at the Universal Exposition.
