"In the world there's economic crisis, pollution. Something went wrong in civilization. How do we change? With meditation". Adriano Ercolani, one of the coordinators of the Inner Peace Day (one of the activities of the movement that promotes meditation Sahaja Yoga), explains the meaning of the debate that took place in Cascina Triulza. "Meditation - continues Ercolani - can be a method to promote the respect for nature and the universal consciousness. If you meditate you can't pollute, steal, be racist."
Sahaja Yoga is a meditation method developed in India in 1970 by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi and is now practiced in over 90 countries. The method is practiced in Italy since 1981. The programs and courses of Sahaja Yoga are always free and offered by an international network of non-profit associations.
"From 2014 we organize in Italy also the Inner Peace Day, adds Ercolani. It's an initiative for students, we organize an annual event and we propose meditation throughout the year. Already 70.000 students from elementary to university played this activity, 200.000 in the world".
The participation at EXPO is organized by the World Foundation Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Sahaja Yoga. "The theme of Expo 2015 is in line with what we practice - emphasizes Ercolani -: the Tree of Life of Expo is what we consider the human body."
